“The fascination of shooting as a sport depends almost wholly on whether you are at the right or wrong end of the gun.” – P. G. Wodehouse
Spent a few hours this afternoon at the Clark County Shooting Complex some 15 minute drive from my house. It was quite fascinating even though I wouldn’t be doing any shooting this day. The whole complex is set on a staggering 2900 acre property that can accommodate up to 80 RV’s in case you thought about staying for the night.
The shooting complex offers shooting and archery for all types of people and age groups.
I found it fascinating that anyone could turn up with their weapons and ammo and just start shooting. OK it’s not quite as simple as that, but not far off. You just head inside, register and pay a small fee and away you go.
According to one of the Range Controllers, the complex is only 30% complete!
The mountain ranges in the back ground make for quite the view as you’re shooting and travelling back down the road to leave the complex gives you a great view of the Las Vegas Strip.
I also managed to get some great view of a hot chick shooting a .50 cal sniper rifle, that’s certainly how you get an old Cav Man’s attention 😉
